
peronnik topp was born in basel in 1981. he commenced his violin studies aged 7 and upon leaving school he studied with prof ulrich gröner at the zurich school of the arts in switzerland.
since 2004 topp has been studying with prof werner scholz at the academy of music in rostock, germany and in 2005/6 he studied at the vienna university of music with prof rainer küchl.
he has taken part in master classes and privat lessons with christian altenburger, isabel trautwein, wolfgang rihm, uwe-martin haiberg, giuliano carmignola, rainer kussmaul, thomas brandis, monika baer (baroque violin), reinhard goebel and christian tetzlaff.
topp has played in many youth orchestras including the vienna youth philharmonic, national youth orchestra of germany, youth orchestra of the bayreuth festival, german youth philharmonic and the attersee institute orchestra (together with members of the vienna philharmoic at the salzburg festival 2003). 2005 he was leader of the world youth orchestra.
he has toured throughout africa, china, europe, japan, mexico and usa.
topp played as freelancer with the south-german philharmonic konstanz, berlin symphonic, zurich chamber orchestra, brandenburg state orchestra, orquesta sinfonica de tenerife, spain, stateorchestra wiesbaden, wdr radio orchestra cologne and on trial with the bbc philharmonic and as principal 2nd violin with the hallé orchestra manchester.
he has benefited from the generous support of the zurich bruno schuler-foundation, elsy meyer-foundation and the lions club.
his violin was built in 1999 by roger fuhrmann (cremona, italy).
februar 2007 until july 2007, peronnik topp has worked permanent as assistant leader 2nd violin with the philharmonic orchestra of hagen/germany. august 2007-august 2009 he was playing with the beethoven orchestra bonn.
currently peronnik topp is playing as freelancer with bamberg symphony, gurzenich orchestra cologne, basel chamber orchestra, camerata salzburg, ensemble resonanz hamburg and with oslo philharmonic orchestra.
